Here's a picture of where I came from and the second is where I'm going. Anyway you look at it it's six miles up. I thought it would never end.

Ride Across America
Join me as I ride my bicycle from Astoria, Oregon to Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The trip will take fifty days averaging 73 miles per day for a total of 3,629 miles. There a six days over 100 miles and two of those 100 mile days are back to back. We'll be going through the Cascades and by Mt Hood, over the Tetons, into the black hills and by Mr Rushmore. Then on through Minnisota, Michigan, Canada, Niagra Falls, Vermont and New Hampshire.
You go Bud, even though you must be crazy to ride a bike that far. I wish all of you guys the best and a safe ride.
